The quality policy of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) aims at providing high-level services in the following areas: (a) education and teaching, (b) scientific-research work, (c) teaching staff, (d) the quality of support services for postgraduate students, and (e) society.
The Department is committed to implementing a quality policy that supports knowledge (scientific, technological, research, and professional), with the main objective of scientifically educating postgraduate students, in accordance with the European and National Qualifications Framework for Higher Education. In this spirit, the Department’s quality policy ensures the academic identity and orientation of the Postgraduate Program (PGP), so that procedures are applied demonstrating the appropriateness of its structure and organization, the adequacy of the teaching staff’s qualifications, the quality of the academic unit’s support services, and its staffing with suitable administrative personnel. The academic unit is also committed to conducting an annual internal evaluation of the new PGP in collaboration with the Internal Evaluation Group (OMEA) and the Institution’s Quality Assurance Unit (MODIP), to promote the purpose and scope of the PGP, to implement its strategic goals, to define the means and ways of achieving them, and to continually aim for its improvement. This policy is published and applied by all interested parties.

It implements a quality culture in all academic and administrative activities, and constantly improves the provided services with transparency, accountability, and dedication to academic excellence.
